Once upon a time, Baby Rabbit saw a fox under a big tree. Baby Rabbit went up to the fox and asked, "Hello, Fox! Do you live here?"   The fox smiled and replied, "Yes, Baby Rabbit! We are friends and we live near each other. This forest is our home."   Just then, Squirrel joined them and said, "Hello, friends! We are not just friends, but we are neighbors too. We all live in this forest together."   Baby Rabbit was excited and said, "That's great! We are like brothers and sisters in God's big family. God made this wonderful world and everything in it. We are so lucky!"   They all nodded and looked around at the beautiful forest. They realized that they were connected and should take care of each other.   From that day on, Baby Rabbit, Fox, and Squirrel played together and explored the forest. They learned about different animals and how to be good friends.   They always remembered that they were part of God's family and were grateful for the amazing world they lived in.   And so, Baby Rabbit, Fox, and Squirrel lived happily in the forest, e n j o y i n g t h e i r friendship and taking care of their home.   Message We are God’s family. Being part of God's family inspires us to treat others with love, care, respect, and acceptance.   Action Do you love your family? Always caring for your family members. Understand and share the feelings of each other in the family. Be kind to each other. Do not afraid to show your empathy to your family. Act it out. Among the four seasons, winter has always been Rose’s favourite . To Rose, snow feels like marshmallow, fluffy and pure. She loves making snow angels and snowmen, they have been Rose’s favourite companions during the time of winter.   One day after school, she got Mom’s permission to play with the snow outside. Mom was worried that she might get sick so she asked Rose to put on her warm, fluffy scarf. Rose could not wait to touch the snow again so she quickly put on her scarf and dashed out of her home.   Seeing Rose dashing out, Fluffy, Rose’s beloved pet puppy, immediately followed her. Just like how Mom cared about her, Rose was worried about Fluffy playing in the cold snow. She looked at her scarf and went back inside the warm house. When she came back out again, she put a scarf around Fluffy's neck and said, ‘I love you as much as Mom loves me.’   Rose and Fluffy had lots of fun that day. The snow was cold but their hearts were warm. The love from our family members will always get us safe through cold winters, and any obstacles in life.   Message Appreciate the love from our parents and spread the love to the ones around us. Learning that family is a very precious gift by God.   Action Show our love and care to our families, teachers and schoolmates every day. Do you remember the evil man in the story published on《Joyful Youth》Issue 2 ( 2023.09.24 ) ? He was furious when he learned that nothing he did could destroy the love and bonds of a caring family. He ran home desperately. To his surprise, when his parents heard about what he had done, they embraced him and said, ‘We do not like the things you do. We do not want you to hurt others, but we love you and we forgive you.’ The evil man was amazed by his parents’ love for him. He felt regret for his evil deeds and made up his mind to do good.   Message The story shows us the power of forgiveness. The parents of the evil man forgave him because of their love for him, and it was this unconditional love that gave the evil man the power to change and do good. Sometimes we find it hard to forgive others even if they are our family. Think about what Jesus did when he was being crucified. He prayed to God, " Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."   Action Next time, when your brothers and sisters hurt you or mistreat you, put your feelings into words and tell them. Then forgive them. You can make a difference. William, Daisy and Rose worked hard to prepare the best Mother’s Day for their mom. They face different obstacles and learn how to overcome them with communication, teamwork and grit. Most importantly, they learn about the importance of family love.   On their way home after visiting their grandparents, Rose, Daisy and William saw advertisements for Mother’s Day gifts on the MTR. So, they decide to surprise their mother with a homemade gift and plan a celebration for her. The children decided to make a blueberry cheesecake. Although the process was difficult, the three siblings encouraged and helped one another. In the end, they succeeded in showing their love towards their mother on that special day.   As a mother myself, this particular story resonated with me. Mothers love their children unconditionally, and only wish the best for them. We work tirelessly and sacrifice a lot for our children, so we greatly appreciate it when children do their best to show their love for the family. Another core message from the story is that we are all part of God’s great family and family love unites us. In the story, the three siblings worked with each other to bake the blueberry cheesecake out of their love for their mother. Family love motivated the three siblings to overcome the challenges they faced.
