Rose had a green tortoise and a white rabbit. She kept them in the garden. She always played with them and fed them with carrots.

It was Rose’s birthday. Rose wanted a scarf, so Grandma visited her and knitted a woolen one for her. Rose welcomed her with a hot drink and sat down with her in front of the garden. Grandma enjoyed the drink a lot. Rose was thrilled.

Meanwhile, the tortoise and the rabbit came out to play. While Grandma and Rose were still full, the two pets were hungry. Rose wanted to feed them. However, she had only one carrot. When they saw the carrot, both of them were very excited. The rabbit hopped quickly but the tortoise could only walk slowly. Suddenly, the rabbit stopped hopping. She started to walk too. They kept walking and walking until they reached Rose. ‘Wow! You two reached me at the same time ! What should I do ? ’ Rose cried..

‘It's okay! We can share the carrot!’ Grandma and Rose were pleased to see the two pets sharing one carrot.

Message

“How good, how delightful it is for all to live together like brothers.” (Psalm 133:1) Grandma and Rose loved each other. Rose’s pets also loved each other. There was only one carrot but they shared it with each other. What a lovely scene it is!
