Clothing Materials

Do you know the materials your clothes are made of? In the past, people made clothes out of natural materials, such as plant fibres and animal skin. Nowadays, artificial and synthetic fabrics are commonly used because they are cheaper and more versatile.

It is good that we can find a wide selection of clothing materials to suit different occasions and weather conditions. There is usually a label attached to each garment showing the kind of material it is made of and its percentage composition, e.g. 100% cotton.

We think every day, in different ways, for different purposes. We think of the past, present and future; of reality and fantasy; of people and things near and far.

Thinking is a mental activity peculiar to human beings. Since ancient times, great thinkers from East and West have contributed to the growth of our civilization.

Are you a good thinker? Do you think carefully before you act?

It takes greater effort to go uphill than down. It is also harder to score higher marks than to get a lower grade. However, when we reach the top of the hill or become the best student in class, we will feel a great sense of achievement.

To describe upward or downward movement, we can use different words such as rise, sink, fly, descend, etc. We must learn to use them properly. Let’s see how some of these words are used below.

“Let There Be Light” Gen. 1:3

作者: Doris Ng

Light is one of the very first wonderful creations in the universe. Every day we live in the brightness that God created: from glaring daylight to faint twilight, from the beam of the moon to the twinkle of the stars. Without light we can see nothing.

In the modern world electric lights have largely taken the place of nature’s shining rays and flickering flames. Yet, whatever form it takes, light can be strong or weak, lasting or short-lived, continuous or intermittent.
