Being the second largest city in Spain, Barcelona is a very vibrant(充滿生氣的)city with lots to see and explore. Its art, beaches, food and architecture, especially the works of Antoni Gaudí, attract millions of visitors, including me.

My favourite place in Barcelona is La Sagrada Familia. Also known as the Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family, La Sagrada Familia was a Roman Catholic church designed by the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. Although it is still under construction, it was already designated (指定為)as a UNESCO World Heritage Site(聯合國世界文物遺產). I still remember when I first entered the church, I was completely speechless as I was utterly amazed by the spectacular(壯麗的)design and the beautiful stained glass windows(彩繪玻璃). It is really unique as it resembles a forest. It is definitely the most impressive and breathtaking church I have ever visited.

Apart from La Sagrada Familia, I also went to see the other works of Gaudi, including Parc Güell and Casa Batlló. Parc Güell is an interesting park with fascinating architectural elements. Some buildings there look like the sugar candy cottages in the fairytale Hansel and Gretel! Casa Batlló is a house with truly distinctive design, as its roof resembles the back of a dinosaur.

No trip to Barcelona will be complete without trying traditional Spanish food. I tried paella, which is Spanish seafood rice and churros, which are Spanish doughnuts normally served with hot chocolate. Spanish people really know how to enjoy life!
